FC WI Adds Jacob Dietrich as Goalkeeper Coach

FC Wisconsin is excited to announce the addition of Jacob Dietrich to the coaching staff as a new goalkeeper coach for the 2023-2024 season.  Jacob is an assistant coach for the women's soccer program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and will work with both UWM and the club.

“FC Wisconsin is a great club with an exceptional culture." said Dietrich.  "The staff is great and the players are eager to learn. I’m very excited to be able to say I am a part of this club”.

Prior to joining the Panthers Dietrich spent a year working for the University of Tennessee at Martin as a graduate assistant for the women's soccer program, and prior to that, as a goalkeeper coach for Christian Brothers University for three years. He also served as a head coach and goalkeeper coach for the Lobos Rush. At the high school level Jacob has coached at Madison Academic boys (Jackson, TN)and Briarcrest girls and boys (Eads, TN). His playing career includes two seasons at Bethel University (McKenzie, TN). He participated in back-to-back nationally ranked seasons where the team was ranked in the top 25 and then top 15 with a run in the national tournament. The following year, he joined the coaching staff before moving on to Christian Brothers and Lobos Rush.

Jacob will work with Goalkeeper Director Monica Gonyo in the development of the club’s goalkeepers at all ages.

“We are thrilled to add Jacob to our coaching staff and are and are looking forward to getting him started with us this season," said Executive Director Monica Gonyo.  "Jacob’s background in the youth and college game will be a huge benefit to our goalkeeper’s individual development as they look to improve day to day, but also for all of our players as they explore the possibilities to play in college.”
