Between Marquette and UW-Madison, 11 FC Wisconsin Eclipse Alumni Feature in Weekend College Action!

In the opening weekend of NCAA Womens College Soccer, FC Wisconsin Eclipse alumni showed again how the training program at FC Wisconsin Eclipse prepares players for long-term success in college.

On an undefeated East Coast road trip for the UW Womens Soccer team, Cara Walls scored once in a 3-2 win over UConn, and two more times in a 3-2 win over Illinois State.  In total, six players that have come through the FC Wisconsin Eclipse development system featured for the Badgers over the weekend: McKenna Meuer, Lindsey Holmes, Carly Vogel, Holly Heckendorf, and Becky McGrath.  Read more at www.uwbadgers.com.  

On the opposite coast, five former FC Wisconsin Eclipse players featured in a 1-1 trip to Portland for Marquette University.  Mady Vicker scored once in a 3-2 win over Portland State, with contributions from Katie Hishmeh, Mary Luba, Jacie Jermier, and Ashley Stemmeler.  Read more here.

  • Jackie Wandt start and went 90 minutes for the NIU Huskies in a 3-0 win against Eastern Illinois.  
  • Loyola University went 1-0-1 with big contributions from Monica Gonyo, Valerie Gonyo, and Mariah Vichich.  Read more here.  
  • Brittany Von Reuden helped the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to a 4-1 win over Northwestern with 2 assists, and a 4-1 win over #25 Illinois.

11 players on the field for Wisconsin's two biggest NCAA Division I women's programs is a strong statement - and that is just in-state!  Congrats to the players for their success - and the hard work that laid the foundation for them at FC Wisconsin Eclipse!
