At training on December 5, FC Wisconsin Eclipse players underwent individual Functional Movement Screens (FMS) with the assistance of sports medicine physician Jon Englund and athletic trainers from ATI.  Functional Movement Screens are used to identify limitations in functional athletic movement caused by lack of flexibility or lack of strength, and to determine a training and exercise regimen to correct these deficiencies. 

At training on December 5, FC Wisconsin Eclipse players underwent individual Functional Movement Screens (FMS) with the assistance of sports medicine physician Jon Englund and athletic trainers from ATI.  Functional Movement Screens are used to identify limitations in functional athletic movement caused by lack of flexibility or lack of strength, and to determine a training and exercise regimen to correct these deficiencies.  Players that use the information and corrective training exercises identified through Functional Movement Screens not only lower risk of injury, but also can improve athletic performance.  

At a program meeting and presentation on Sunday, December 9, all FC Wisconsin Eclipse players will recieve the individual results of their FMS, and a tailored individual training regimen to improve the FMS score.  At the same meeting, players and parents will be educated on concussion management.
