The first FC Wisconsin U10-U13 Pre-Season Camp was held August 8-11 in Germantown, and provided great learning, lots of fun, and some new friendships for the players.
The four day camp gave players huge amounts of individual coaching, great ideas on individual attacking and combination play, and a fun environment to train and play. Coaches Hayley Lavers and Andy Lee worked with the players all week, giving them a nice "boost" before the fall season officially started. The camp was 2 hours each day, with a session of hard work and fun, but also giving the players time to recover from the summer heat so that they were fresh and excited each morning.
"We think it is really important for players to have some time off from organized soccer in the summer, and this camp provided a great kick-start for players before they get back into the fall season," said Hayley Lavers. "I really enjoyed getting to spend so much time with them, and I think they got a lot from the experience."
"It's always fun to work with mixed groups of players outside of the normal training environment," said Andy Lee. "Because we get to know the players so well, this camp gives us the chance to really get specific and individualized with the players in the areas where they need to keep progressing and growing"
Additional FC Wisconsin Specialty Training Programs will be available this winter and spring. Stay tuned for more information, and don't miss the opportunity to participate in the next fun event!
