Joana Bromley (formerly Bielefeld) has coached in the club since 2015, and became the Youth Academy Director in the Fall of 2018. She has a Masters in Sports and Performance Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Joana played college soccer her freshman year at Ohio University, transferring at the end of the year to play 3 years at the University of Wisconsin. She finished her eligibility in 2012, after starting 41 games in her final two seasons and being named Academic All-Big 10 in both 2011 and 2012. During her career at Wisconsin, she helped the Badgers to two NCAA tournament appearances (2010, 2012) and a 33-19-9 record. In her youth career, Joana trained under the same developmental curriculum currently used at FC Wisconsin, leading her team to 2 Regional Finals, the Surf Cup Final, and the Disney final – a list of performances that made them one of the most successful teams in Wisconsin history. She also helped lead her WPSL team to the 2010 WPSL Final Four.
