Chloe Knudtson Joins FC Wisconsin - Madison Staff

Chloe Knudtson, who played for the club for many years as a youth player before moving on to play at the University of Wisconsin will be returning to the club to become the newest coach in the FC Wisconsin – Madison program.   Chloe will begin coaching this fall.

 

Knudtson played for the Badgers from 2015 – 2018, claiming a Big 10 Conference Championship in 2015, and was named a captain in 2018.  She also earned the Big 10 Sportsmanship Award in 2016.  Knudtson will be graduating in May with a degree in biology and working in Madison in the health care profession.

 

“I am incredibly excited to return to the club in a coaching position and have the opportunity to give back,” said Kndutson.  “This club is special to me and I know coaching is something that I will be very passionate about.”

 

“We are so happy to see Chloe back with us, and to see her begin what will be a great journey in coaching,” said Director of Coaching and Methodology Christian Lavers.  “Chloe is an incredible person, has a great mind for the game, and loves working with young players.  She will be a fantastic role model and teacher, and players will enjoy working with her.”

 

Chloe was a member of the club in its founding year, and captain of her team that finished fourth in the ECNL North American Cup in 2014.  She played as a central defender, and was known for her leadership, work rate, and ability to organize the defense.
